As I mentioned in my last post, I got in late yesterday afternoon from a business trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, and even though we had a great trip and learned a lot, it felt so good to get back home! Not only that, but being away from my usual routine gave me the opportunity to refocus on my "creative muse".
She (my muse) hasn't been overly pleased with me lately, dulled as I've been by the stressors of too much work and not enough creativity. I didn't realize how much I'd been neglecting her until this past week and I think it's safe to say there's nothing quite like a change of scenery to refresh your vision and get yourself back on track!
So today I've done nothing but "get back to the basics" of working on my blog posts, as well as photographing and listing new items for my online Etsy shop at www.fursdonhouse.etsy.com! See what you think of my first venture into creating paper cloth, with these hand made bookmarks!
Would you believe I've had these completed for over a month now? I kept telling myself they weren't good enough to show anyone so I just put them aside. Why oh why do I listen to that negative little Beezlebub who constantly entertains my weaker moments? Well, here they are now! This is just a sample though; I've made 26 bookmarks out of this particular piece of paper cloth I created. They aren't all listed on Etsy yet, but I hope to have them all there by tomorrow.
And my next venture? Not sure yet, but I have plenty of ideas to choose from! And I have to admit it's wonderful to have my studio all in order, ready and waiting!
Take care, have a lovely weekend and may God bless, Jan
